The brainchild of sisters-in-law Jackie and Anna Kennard
Anna's journey began amidst the picturesque landscapes of Haute Savoie, France, where her family immersed themselves in local culture for an 18 month transformative sabbatical. Amidst the beauty of changing seasons, they explored everything from wake surfing on crystal-clear lakes to navigating rugged mountain trails. Yet, Anna's true passion lay in the quiet early mornings, scouring the region's brocantes and vide-greniers for hidden treasures.
Jackie, visiting with her family, found herself equally enchanted by the allure of treasure hunting for French antiques. As she was constantly on the hunt in Sydney to find pieces for her country home, she was blown away by the variety and availability of beautiful pieces in France. Their shared passion for objects with old souls immediately sparked the creation of Dusty Luxe—a place where every piece tells a story and holds beauty in the detail of the imperfections.
Anna Kennard
Born in England, raised and educated in Scotland and calls Australia home. However Anna will forever carry a piece of the French countryside in her heart.
After a long and rewarding career in financial services, Anna and her husband Cameron, together with their three children, took an 18-month sabbatical in the Haute Savoie region of France. On weekend mornings, Anna’s favourite past time was to escape early and explore the vide-greniers and brocante furniture at the local markets. It was here that she found incredible handcrafted antiques and vintage French finds ready to tell their stories. When her sister-in-law Jackie, who was also passionate about objects with old souls, came to visit – the two of them dreamt of bringing these unique French finds back home.
Anna recently completed a ground-up rebuild of their family home in Mosman, which features Dusty Luxe items throughout (particularly in her art studio) and can be discovered in Australian House and Garden Magazine. Her next venture will be an architectural design, build and styling of a farm project in Berry, NSW – where she will continue to blend her love for French aesthetics with the Australian country lifestyle.
Jackie Kennard
Jackie, a born-and-bred Sydneysider, has always had a passion for art and design. Following the completion of her degree in Media, her career path has consistently been in creative fields. From acting to post producing television and film. Later earning a Master of Art, Jackie's journey has been one of creativity and growth—all while raising her three daughters.
Jackie loves to create interior spaces that feel lived-in, yet luxurious. Blending old pieces within contemporary spaces is her speciality..Jackie’s design philosophy is that any interior style can be complimented with vintage furniture. A harmony that exudes warmth, personality and is grounded in originality and luxury. She’s an avid treasure hunter for objects with a story to tell, which is evident in her collection of vintage pieces that blend seamlessly into her contemporary living spaces. Each piece is steeped in French heritage and speaks volumes about her appreciation for craftsmanship, sustainability and the beauty of imperfection.

Dusty Luxe is an innovative vintage and antiques brand that uncovers one-of-a-kind French finds and reimagines them for contemporary living spaces. Its collections range from handcrafted artisan furniture to vintage French styling pieces and art, all curated with a discerning eye for style and sustainability.

Jackie & Anna in France with the first treasures of what would become Dusty Luxe. We continue to travel to France to find more treasures. Paris, The Alps and Provence are our preferred places to source.
