Dusty Luxe was born when two sisters-in-law joined forces to share their mutual love of French brocante furniture and homewares with fellow Sydney siders.

Anna and her family spent 18 months living in the Haute Savoie region of France. Her three kids attended the fully French speaking local school freeing up their parents to explore and immerse themselves in the beautiful French culture and countryside. The changing seasons were beautiful and fascinating and with each one came a new adventurous activity; from wakesurfing on the lake, trail running in the mountains, braving the via feratas, canyoning and rando skiing. However, for Anna it was the all year-round excitement of escaping her family early in the morning each weekend to explore brocantes and vide-greniers (emptying of attics) around the region that became her lasting passion.

Anna’s sister in law, Jackie came to visit with her family and it wasn’t only a high point for all the cousins to be reunited - but it was their shared passion for the French furniture, home decor and vintage finds that led to the creation of Dusty Luxe which would in turn allow them to keep their French connection and to continue to bring these beautiful finds back to Sydney.

Jackie, with her love of colour, art and interior design has always had a passion for the French country farmhouse style. She has recently completed a build and the interior styling of her South Coast rural property which is strongly influenced by the heritage French country style. Some of our recent French finds have made their way into her beautiful country home.
